Fintiri’s Government Opens Recruitment for Junior Community Health Workers Across 21 LGAs

The Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA) has announced the recruitment of Junior Community Health Workers (JCHEWs) across all 21 local government areas, as part of efforts by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration to strengthen primary healthcare delivery in the state.

In a statement signed by Hajiya Binta Yusuf, Director of Administration and Human Resources, the recruitment aligns with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency’s (NPHCDA) new redesign of the Community-Based Health Workers Programme.

Applicants are required to possess a certificate in Junior Community Health from a recognized institution. The application process is free and will run from August 12 to 26, 2025, at the offices of the Executive Secretaries of the 21 Local Government Primary Health Care Authorities.

The Agency further disclosed that shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews through the media, notice boards, and the respective PHCAs.
